ABOUT
I was asked to create a 30-second animation comprised of looping gifs. This commission came at a time when New York City was just beginning to distribute COVID vaccines and when winter was just beginning to melt into spring. People started emerging from their homes, donning their most seasonally-appropriate floral outfits, enjoying the cherry blossoms and newly sunny weather. As nature came back to life, so too did the city. I wanted to illustrate these moments alongside the strange and striking characters that I spotted on my socially-distant walks through Central Park.
